Helotes (pronounced hello-tis) is located of of Loop 1604 just Northwest of San Antonio and was incorporated in 1981. It is home to over 45 seperate neighborhoods and a population of approximatly 7,341 people.

 The city was a stagecoach stop between San Antonio and Bandera and then remained a farming community for decades.  In 1946 the historic  John T. Floore Country Store brought commerce and economic growth to the city, making it the unique community it is today: small town feel with family oriented activities.  Floore's Country Store continues to draw top musical talent to its stages.  In addition to a city park, Old town marketplace, Movie Night at the Park, and the annual Cornyval festival, Helotes is also just minutes away from ammenities in San Antonio such as The Shops at La Cantera, The University of Texas at San Antonio, Fiesta Texas, and Sea World.  

Helotes residents are zoned to go to NISD schools. The average price of a home in Helotes is $247,500, and real estate can range from $150,000 to $800,000.
